Injury is definitely an unpleasant experience but it may not be just bad luck. Someone may be responsible for your injuries because of his/her negligence. Whether the injury is suffered in the course of work, traffic accident or medical negligence case, you may have the right to claim from the wrongdoer, or even from other third parties as well.

According to Employees’ Compensation Ordinance (Cap. 282 of the Laws of Hong Kong), if in any employment, personal injury is caused to an employee by accident arising out of and in the course of the employment, his employer shall be liable to pay compensation in accordance with this Ordinance. The responsibility to pay compensation under this Ordinance is NOT conditional upon the fault or negligence of the employer.
