Careen leads the Non-Contentious Department of the Firm. She regularly advises private and corporate clients on company and commercial matters, and assists clients with the formation of companies, drafting of business contracts and advising on company management. She represents clients in commercial deals such as sale of companies and trading concerns. Careen’s experience extends to banking and has had the experience of being the in-house Legal Counsel of a licensed bank in Hong Kong.

 

As a qualified China Appointed Attesting Officer, Careen also leads the Firm’s Cross-border team in providing cross border legal advice for commercial and individual clients on matrimonial and succession, property transactions, as well as investment and finance. She has also passed the debut Greater Bay Area Legal Qualification Examination and will provide more comprehensive and practical cross border legal advice and services in the nine GBA cities.

 

She leads her team in handling general conveyancing and property transactions, as well as property transactions in the New Territories.

 

Careen also advises clients on drafting of wills and estate distribution or planning and has represented executors and surviving family members in probate and estate administration matters, which at times involve New Territories property succession customs and law.

 

In addition to her daily legal work, Careen as one of the founding partners, has been responsible for the overall supervision and management of the Firm since incorporation. She develops and implements strategic plans with her Partner in the development of the Firm, manages the Firm’s finance and daily operation of the Firm’s client accounts, formulates administration and risk management policies to ensure smooth daily operation of the Firm and conducts staff development programmes to consolidate and enhance on-the-job training.
